1. Class Room and Laboratory Training

 Sugarcane maturity analysis using cane puncturing needle and Hand Refractometer
 Brix, Pol, Purity determination of Cane Juice, Reducing sugar estimation.
 Brix survey of sugarcane, Determination in Pol in Cane and Fibre percent in Cane.
 Determination of Extraneous matter in Cane
 Determination of pH, Titratable acidity, Dextran in Cane Juice
2. Dedicated Farm Training
 5 Acre Experimental Farm to implement package of practice to achieve 800 Quintal per
acre production with intercropping
 Target Based Production Management of Farm
 Application of all productivity and protection methods
3. On Job Training
 Sugarcane marketing strategies
 Integrated communication strategy in sugarcane mill zone
 Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in sugarcane
 Varietal’s planning, replacement, development and harvesting schedule
 Sugarcane development strategies in sugar mill zone areas
4. Farmers Field Training
 Every student will supervise 5 Host farmers cultivation process from planting to
harvesting to achieve approx. 800 quintal per acre
 Minimum 150 Acre advise and supervising experience
 Target based supervision and implementation to achieve maximum production with
increment of organic carbon
